We are very, very proud of our lesson progr am at PM Music. PM Music
is currently offering private lessons on more instruments than ever
before. These instruments include: guitar, bass guitar, drums,
piano, percussion, violin and and music theory plus a Vibrant &
Dynamic Dance Program!
Private music lessons are typically 30 min.
One-on-one, weekly lessons. The tuition is typically $80 a month.

You know how some music stores treat kids like....well, kids? We
treat them like pro's in progress. You'll find total encouragement
and never feel intimidated here. And just so you know, our
instruction is not just for kids. We have a high percentage of adult
learners. From beginners to "weekend warriors" who want to advance
their skills, the teaching staff at PM Music will have you playing
like never before!
 We also have a fine staff of dance instructors with
classes for all ages and styles. Call now for available times and

that we have the best trained & most experienced teaching staff
anywhere in the mid south.
We make sure you will have fun and make fast progress
while learning what you want to know. Two of our guitar instructors
are adjunct faculty at local colleges and one has done post graduate
study in guitar performances. All are regularly performing with
their groups and as solo artists and are well known in the
community. Our drum instructors both work in area high schools, our
violin instructor is a scholarship student at Lambuth University,
our piano instructor is certified by The Music Teacher's National
Association and our dance instructor is certified through the
Southern Association of Dance Masters.

offers our students the opportunity to perform at our frequent
student recitals. These provide the student with performance
practice in a low pressure, fun environment.
Every spring PM Music has a more formal
recital for all of our students. This recital includes some larger
production numbers and is very professional while still making sure
the student has a very positive experience.
We also are the only Music Store
in the mid south to offer ROCK SCHOOL!
PM Music Rock School is for musicians, ages 8 to 18.
You will receive eight 1 hour rehearsal sessions and then perform a
3 song concert. With very little experience Rock School puts you in
a band. (Private instruction is recommended).

Music is a universal language that bonds people of all ages and
backgrounds. It is a powerful force that has the potential to change
people's lives and shape their personalities.
Even before a baby is born, exposure to music has been shown to have
a positive effect on their development later in life.
At PM Music, we fully support the research which
shows that studying and playing music develops cognitive ability,
improves math skills, reading skills and test scores, and helps
increase children's self-esteem.
DID YOU KNOW: Students with experience in
music performance and music appreciation scored higher on the SAT:
students in music performance scored 57 points higher on the verbal
and 41 points higher on the math, and
students in music appreciation scored 63 points higher on verbal and
44 points higher on the math, than students with no arts
participation.

DID YOU KNOW: Data from the National Education
Longitudinal Study of 1988 showed that music participants received
more academic honors and awards than non-music students, and that
the percentage of music participants receiving A's and B's was
higher than the percentage of non-participants receiving those

arts programs in selected elementary and middle schools in New York
City showed significant increases in self-esteem and thinking
