We are very, very proud of our lesson program. PM Music is currently offering private lessons on more instruments than ever before, including: guitar, bass guitar, drums, piano, percussion, voice and music theory!
Private music lessons are typically a 30 minute, one-on-one weekly lesson. The tuition is $20 a lesson and they are payable by the month, so it usually comes out to $80 a month. And just so you know, our instruction is not just for kids. We have a high percentage of adult learners. From beginners to “weekend warriors” who want to advance their skills, the teaching staff at PM Music will have you playing like never before!
We feel that we have the best trained & most experienced teaching staff anywhere in the mid south. Two of our guitar instructors are adjunct faculty at local colleges and one has done post graduate study in guitar performances. All are regularly performing with their groups and as solo artists and are well known in the community. Our drum instructors both work in area high schools, our voice instructor is a Berkley graduate, our piano instructor is certified by The Music Teacher’s National Association, and we’ve got three instructors who attend Lambuth on scholarship.

PM Music also offers our students the opportunity to perform at our frequent student recitals! These provide the student with performance practice in a low pressure, fun environment. Every spring PM Music has a more formal recital for all of our students. This recital includes some larger production numbers and is very professional while still making sure the student has a very positive experience.
We also are the only music store in the Mid-South to offer ROCK SCHOOL! PM Music Rock School is for musicians, ages 8 to 18. You will receive eight 1 hour rehearsal sessions and then perform a 3 song concert! With very little experience Rock School puts you in a band. (Private instruction is recommended).
