Debbie has fifteen years teaching experience. She travels from
Memphis to Jackson to work with her students. She received her
certification through the Southern
Association of Dance Masters. Classes are available to students ages
3 and older. Although she offers classes in tap and cheer dance, her
specialties are classical and lyrical ballet. She was trained
classically, but Debbie has earned the title, "The Rebel of Ballet",
due to her unique music selections and contemporary style of
choreography used with her competition ballet students, "Company
Rebellion." She feels dance should never be boring...a little
excitement and a few unexpected twists keep everyone on their toes.
Company Rebellion travels throughout the season participating in
dance conventions and competitions. Most recently, they brought home
two 1st place and two 2nd place trophies from the Dance Makers
regional competition held in Nashville. The Company has qualified
for Nationals in Myrtle Beach, SC in June 2008. Company Rebellion
includes competitive Ballet, Lyrical, CheerDance, Jazz and Tap. All
non-competing students who meet age requirements are encouraged to
attend conventions along with Company Rebellion in order to broaden
their own experience in dance.
